Lambda Xi Omega Scholarship Guidelines

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Lambda Xi Omega scholarships. Here you will find important information that will help you successfully complete the application process

 

The schools involved in the scholarship distributions are high schools located in Bainbridge, Colquitt County, Cairo, Camilla, Pelham, and Thomas County which includes Thomas County Central High, Bishop Hall Charter School, and Thomasville High School. The scholarships will be given at the schools’ Honors Night Awards Ceremony, or Community Assembly.

Applicant Qualifications

❖ Be a graduating female who plans to attend a two (2) or four (4) year college, university, technical college or specialized school.

❖ Have a minimum grade point average of 2.6 in a 4.0 System.

❖ Have a score of at least 16 on the ACT or 800 on the SAT.

 

How do I apply?

Submit the following:

❖ An Official Letter or Transcript from the School’s Office or Counselor with the GPA and SAT or ACT

❖ Copy of Letter of Acceptance

❖ A one-page essay (minimum 500 words, single spaced, 12 point font) Topic: If you had to create a community service project, what would it be and why?

❖ Cairo High School applicants are asked to obtain a paper copy of the application from their Guidance Counselor.  All other high school students can apply online or submit an application by mail.  

 

When is the application deadline?

The application deadline is April 15, 2024.

Applications completed online or postmarked after the deadline will not be accepted. Applications missing any of the required materials will not be considered.
